A record of positions.
Not a knowledge graph.
This site's writing changes its mind sometimes — on purpose, in public, and on a schedule. These pages track a small number of concepts the corpus has argued about more than once: the position Ev held, the date it was stated, the receipt, and — when it moved — what it was refined into, superseded by, or retracted for. Same discipline as On the Record: a scorecard that only counts wins is marketing, so no cluster here ships wins-only, and any cluster still missing a category — a loss, an open call — says so plainly on its own card instead of hiding it.
Trust & Accountability
Jun 12, 2026 – Aug 3, 2026Trust is conferred by a counterparty with something to lose, never computed from logs — the season's compressed maxim, retroactively naming what Week 4's vote was describing.
Measurement & Attribution
Sep 18, 2015 – Jul 31, 2026Measurement is advertising's most institutionally mature standard, yet it is friction, not load-bearing infrastructure: a deal can still clear without touching any of it.
Customer Data Architecture
Jun 7, 2026 – Aug 3, 2026The agentic CDP is an overlay on the three existing customer-data architectures, not a fourth procurement alternative — it shifts the weights in the comparison rather than adding a column.
Contextual Intelligence
Dec 16, 2023 – Sep 11, 2026The cost assumption behind the essay's twelve-question evaluation schema held but the timing assumption did not: with roughly 6ms available for meaning in the bid path, large-model inference generally happens outside it, so a schema like this is computed ahead of the auction and looked up during it rather than reasoned out at the edge.
Data Clean Rooms & Zero-Party Data
Feb 27, 2023 – Jul 12, 2026Retail media is the vertical where clean-room verification is hardening fastest — becoming the buyer's independent check against network-reported outcomes.
Agentic Advertising Standards
Sep 1, 2025 – Sep 11, 2026Instead of the single shared brain the map said UCP would provide, six months produced two embedding vocabularies in rival camps, with different rules and neither referencing the other; the context layer arrived, but not where the map said it would.
Commercial Packaging & GTM Positioning
Oct 25, 2024 – Jun 13, 2026In AdTech's post-consolidation era the next competitive moat is not owning more capability — every scaled platform already has that — it is being easier to buy; packaging, not accumulation, decides who wins the next cycle.
